Thousand Layered Honey Cake

Ingredients

4 egg york
5 tsp or 1.5 tbsp melted butter
1/3 cup milk
1/6 tsp salt
1 cup of cake flour

4 egg white
less of 1/2 cup Sugar

1.5 tbsp Honey
some melted butter
(or replaced these with mango jam)

Mold: use an 41cm x 35 cm bake pan (I don't have the right size so need to bake 1/2 portion each time)

Bake at 365 F on middle/up shelf for 12 minutes

Steps:

Preheat the oven, layer pan with parchment paper or baking sheet
mixed egg yolk with butter
add milk and salt, shift flour into the mixture
egg white and sugur, blend till stiff
mix the egg york and egg white mixture together lightly
put in pan and bake about 14 min.
cut half and then another half make 8 layers
brush layers with honey or jam and brush side and top with melted butter
sealed for 2 days so the cake can be more moist

Variaiton:

Mango Jelly Cake using half of the Thousand layered jam cake

Ingredients:

1/2 of the layered cake

Jelly part in between:

1/2 cup of the comdensed milk
1/4 cup of the corn starch
about 2 cup of the mango sause (mango in blender)
about 2 cup of the mango chucks

Brush this think sauce on the surface:

1 tsp gelatin
1 tsp fine sugar
about 1/2 cup of the mango sauce
